

My request is to have some sort of button akin to the "classic" loop pedal "record/overdub" or "start/stop" button, i.e. I don't have a username over at KVR, so I'll just post here and hopefully you'll get it. I'm always happy to hear feature requests for Augustus - though ideally over at the KVR forum, which I monitor a bit more closely. Use the input level to control whether you're overdubbing or not. I can't really seem to figure out how to make Augustus Loop do this, and the manual isn't helping me much.

THis is what i want: start Recording loop 1, stop recording loop1, loop 1 plays continuously and recording DOES NOT CONTINUE, then using a single button, punch in and out to add multiple layers. This is NOT the way most hardware loopers work, with which traditionally you push the button and record one pass and push the button again to start the loop and end recording, subsequent overdubs are manually punched in and out, without the looper continually recording (unless the looper has a continuous record function, which can usually be turned off it seems like this function is ALWAYS on in Augustus loop). anyway, long story short, i tried augustus loop, which i love as a delay plug, but still can't figure out as a looper.īasically, to create my first loop it works fine, but when I'm done with the first loop it never stops recording, it just keeps layering one upon the other, even though I pushed the "tap rec" button to stop recording the first loop. I tried sooper looper, which seemed like the ticket, except it put my cpu usage up around 80 % (!!!!) which is certainly no good for live or any other setting. But I recently got the hankering for a real "sound on sound" approach in live. I've been using live as a live looping device for a while now using the "kid beyond" method.
